Outfit of the Day December 31, 2009

Wearing Phoebe Couture is one fabulous way to ring in the New Year!! This strapless, luxe, jewel-toned dress is sexy and sweet with its sweetheart neckline, empire waist and above the knee hem. The very special rose textured skirt adds stylish dimension, while providing camouflage for our lumps and bumps. This dress is gorgeous on its own. If you need something for your shoulders reach for your on-trend boyfriend blazer, like this one by J Copper. Because it's New Years Eve, we added metallic sheen and another sweet detail with Hyde's skinny bow belt. Your new breezy spring dresses can easily be made office appropriate simply by adding structure. Here we added Liquid's crisp white jacket and Hyde's bright orange wide belt to make this ensemble conference room ready. Add simple accessories, including a nude or black pump and you are ready for that morning meeting. After work, shed the jacket to expose the ruffle trimmed sleeves on this otherwise flirty dress by Joy Joy. Liquid's Isabella Dress with its black, navy and white print and gathered waistline is a flattering fit on most body types. It looks great with a black leather jacket and black boots but here we brightened things up a bit with white and orange accouterments. This is not the first time you have seen these pieces. We showed you Drew's plaid flannel button-front on November 6 paired back to a sexy ruffle neckline Hale Bob cami. On December 2 we also showed you this chunky grandpa cardi over a silky digital print top by Fifteen Twenty. Today we pulled together these two warm pieces for a comfy cozy look that also has great style. Paired back to David Kahn jeans gives this ensemble another causal element for a great everyday outfit. Outfit of the Day December 18, 2009

Little Black Dress Week Nicole Miller's LBD with its printed skirt is so urban and versatile. The ruching on the bodice is figure flattering and the pleated skirt gives you just enough volume to hide those imperfections. This dress has a little edge to it so adding an ecru cropped leather jacked by BB Dakota was a perfect layer. Black leather boots would be a nice way to round out this look. For a softer ensemble trade the leather jacket and boots for a cardigan, a skinny black patent belt and ballet flats. Outfit of the Day December 17, 2009

Little Black Dress Week! Black Halo's Kathleen Dress is oh so chic with its pleated neckline, foe wrap skirt and slinky fabric. It's sexy without being overt. This dress is fabulous with simple accessories. We, however, piled on the accessories for a different look. Hyde's gold mesh trim wide belt is so dressy and really draws attention to your waistline. With leather in the front and stretch material in the back, it's stylish and comfortable. We then added layers and layers of thick gold necklaces for drama. Outfit of the Day December 16, 2009

Little Black Dress Week Liquid's simple pleated-front LBD with self belt of course wears perfectly on its own. We added another layer and a wonderful pop of color with Press' classic cardi in pink. This easily took the look from dinner dress to work appropriate. For a little extra flair we cinched the waist with Hyde's skinny black leather belt with gold mesh bow detail. This belt is pretty and feminine and a great way to add a special touch to your waist. We love how your little black dress can be transformed simply by adding classic pieces or trendy accessories. Little Black Dress Week
Black Halo's Ann Margaret dress is a great structured little black number that can also be quite versatile. Here we show it in a more corporate ensemble. We put Emquinn's pen striped button-front underneath to make this LBD work appropriate. The double collar and double french cuffs are extra special details that create a memorable look. However, this dress on its own looks amazing, showing just the right amount of skin to create a perfect dinner dress. With the right shoes and accessories you could wear this piece for dressier occasions. For more information on this and other "Outfit of the Day" postings contact us via FrenchCuffCo.com.

Outfit of the Day December 14, 2009

Little Black Dress Week.
Envi makes a great knit dress and this little black cowl neck style is no exception. The classic cut is easy to wear on its own with its soft self-belt (not shown). Also, it is easy to accessories depending on the occasion. We added a chunky mixed metals and beads statement necklace to fill in the blunging neckline. You could stop here and add your fabulous pumps or wedges. Or add a waist belt, like this black and brown one by Elsie M, and your favorite boots for another great look. This one is a closet "go to" piece with endless versatility. For more information about this and other "Outfit of the Day" postings contact us via FrenchCuffCo.com.

Here we have taken our tee and printed scarf to create a work appropriate ensemble that has flare, style and works well with those corporate dress codes. We have shown you most of these pieces mixed with other accouterments. (See October 15 for the versatile Kay Unger jacket and beautifully draped Liquid trousers. See October 7 for Lilla P's colorful v neck tee.) Statement necklaces and studded accessories are still trending strong and are great ways to update and add flair to your ensemble. Here we are showing how Envi's beautifully simple knit dress in purple easily transforms to a stronger look by adding Hyde's fabulous 80's inspired studded belt. The gathers along the waistline give this dress a great silhouette with or without a belt, however. The wide round neckline creates the perfect palette for a great chunky necklace. Add black opaque tights and black booties to round out this special assemblage. For more information about this and other "Outfit of the Day" postings contact us via FrenchCuffCo.com.

Outfit of the Day December 9, 2009

All those ruffles are so much fun and can be more versatile than you might think. Virgina Taylor's fabulous white ruffle front top with puffy sleeves and tailored lines works well back to a pencil skirt and jacket or your favorite jeans and heels. Today, we paired it with this sparkly New Years Eve mini skirt by Notice for a fun "look-at-me" ensemble. This skirt also looks great paired with your basic or not-so-basic black turtleneck. In keeping with this dressier look, we cinched the waist with Hyde's black leather belt donning beautifully intricate gold detail. We added two chunky gold necklaces to complete this look. Outfit of the Day December 8, 2009

Easy going and cute was the mood we were going for here. We pulled together four different yet very versatile pieces to create a uniquely playful ensemble that works for many fun occasions. We showed you Joy Joy's sheer cardi on December 3 in a different color way. Today we have layered it over Nally & Millie's ultra cute textured bow detail tee for dimension and interest. This tee also looks great on its on or layered under your favorite jacket. As we most often do, we cinched the waist with Hyde's black stretch canvas belt. All this coordinated perfectly back to Notice's shimmering color blocked skirt. We kept the jewelry simple by adding a delicate silver triple wrap necklace. Add your black opaque tights and ballet flats for a finished look. For more information about this and other "Outfit of the Day" postings contact us via FrenchCuffCo.com.

Outfit of the Day December 7, 2009

Black and white are always fabulous together. Adding a pop of color like yellow, green or red just takes your ensemble to a new level. Liquid's red hot party dress with its ruffle sleeves and black patent skinny belt is feminine, flirty and gives a great hourglass shape. It's perfect for upcoming holiday parties or date night. For a layer of warmth and added sophistication we topped it with Liquid's architectural jacket that can be belted with its self belt (shown here tied in back) or left open for a peek-a-boo look at your under layer. This layer can also take a party dress to office appropriate if left on. For more information on this and other "Outfit of the Day" postings contact us via FrenchCuffCo.com.

Outfit of the Day December 4, 2009

Drama! Virginia Taylor, designer for both the skirt and top,  knows how to wrap you up in fabulous statement pieces this season. Her skirt is pretty, pink and perfectly pleated and the gold overlay gives it shimmer and dimension for an extra special look. We then added her crisp white top with exaggerated bow to take this ensemble to eye catching status and create a beautifully unique outfit. To bring this top in to daytime just add it to your pencil skirts, trousers or jeans. On November 17 we showed you how to wear this great white top with a blazer and gray pleated skirt. Check it out. Outfit of the Day December 3, 2009

Joy Joy always makes "easy throw on" pieces that look great back to lots of things in our closets. This printed sheer cardi is yet another great "got to" piece. Its shimmering silver trim and waistband give it sparkle and shape. It is fabulous back to jeans and a tee or on colder days a turtleneck. We paired it with Envi's electric blue stretchy knit dress that has great ruching on the sleeves, flattering gathering at the waist and small side pockets for style and convenience. We accentuated the waist with Hyde's wide weave black belt and accessorized the neckline with two bronze beaded necklaces that pick up additional colors in the cardi. Outfit of the Day December 2, 2009

Digital print has made an impression this season and Fifteen Twenty's 100% silk version is a perfect way to wear it. The colors work with just about anything in your closet and the empire waist makes it a flattering style for most. We topped it with Press' chunky cable knit grandpa cardi for texture and warmth. Pairing them back to David Kahn's exaggerated stitching denim brings this ensemble to a finished look. However, we did not stop there. We love how this chunky blue necklace adds additional color and dimension to the mix. For more information about this and other "Outfit of the Day" postings contact us via FrenchCuffCo.com.

Outfit of the Day December 1, 2009

Pink and black, one of our favorite color combinations. Fumblin' Foe's ultra textured dinner dress with its extra wide stretch belt is a great statement piece on its own. It is sassy and sophisticated all rolled up into one. The color and all those ruffles hide just about any of our lumps and bumps. For extra flair and a pop of color we added Virginia Taylor's scallop trim jacket we showed you on November 2. What a fabulous ensemble for just about any party this season. For more information about this and other "Outfit of the Day" postings, please contact us via FrenchCuffCo.com.

Outfit of the Day November 30, 2009

We love cleaver reversible pieces like this printed dress by Nally & Millie. One side has a great horizontal print as shown here and the other side is a more abstract print. Either print is fabulous. Additionally, you can wear the neckline lower as shown here or turn the dress backwards and wear it with a higher neckline. Wear it now with an under layer and then in the summer without as a tank dress. Oh so versatile! We added a crisp black Em Quinn button-down shirt and cinched the waist with Hyde's stretch canvas belt to give this look more structure. Add your black boots and you are good to go. Outfit of the Day November 27, 2009

Trending strong this season is the boyfriend  blazer, which looks great back to jeans and a tee or a pencil skirt. We loved combining it with this Chanel inspired dress by Notice. With both menswear and feminine elements this ensemble is easy to wear and quite versatile. You could wear this combo to the office or shed the jacket, pile on the pearls and you are ready for a night out on the town. Mixing things up a bit with two great prints layered together for yet another avantgarde ensemble. Joy Joy's casual turquoise, white & black printed strapless dress is so cute on its on or simply topped with a basic black cardi. And Notice's black & white swing coat looks chic back to black skinny jeans or peg leg trousers. Today we took these two fabulous stand alone pieces and combined them for a look that is more fashion forward. We then cinched the waist with Hydes's black wide weaved belt. Now add your black suede boots and simple accessories and you are ready to make a statement at your next party. Faux fur fabulous! What a great way to spice up your closet staples. Our classic long sleeve black turtleneck by Press and Notice's practical charcoal gray pleated skirt are great closet basics that look perfect together. Stopping there leaves you with a pulled-together ensemble that could take you almost anywhere. We took things up several notches by adding Notice's fabulous faux fur vest with wide ribbon self belt. We then added a chunky charm necklace to finish this look. For more information on this and other "Outfit of the Day" postings contact us via FrenchCuffCo.com.

Cool colors for a warm ensemble. This very special long sleeve cardigan by Joy Joy is sweet and preppy all in one.  The adorable flower accents, exaggerated stitching detail paired with the jeweled buttons adds so much character to this sweater. It can be worn with or without an under layer and looks great back to pencil skirts, trousers or jeans. We paired it with David Kahn's Heidi style dark denim skinny jeans for a casual look. Accessorizing with this turquoise color-blocked scarf added fun and another layer of warmth. Wearing two belts at once can be very stylish, as we have shown here with Elsie M's black leather studded skinny belts. Add your boots or ballet flats and you are ready for your day of holiday shopping. For more information on this or other "Outfit of the Day" postings, contact us via FrenchCuffCo.com.

Pictured is yet another way to keep your winter white trousers in circulation. We coordinated our Peace of Cloth pair back to a long sleeve black turtleneck by Press. You could stop there for a classic look. To add warmth and a stylish layer we topped this outfit with Press' gray printed sweater sporting its shawl collar and banded waist. Aspen chic. To prevent your waist from getting lost in all those layers cinch it, as we did with Hyde's stretch canvas belt. What an easy way to wear the neon trend. This fun printed tunic by DEPT is a nice blend of neon pink and orange toned down by a floral print in charcoal gray. We love this ruffle-front neckline top by Drew that we showed you on November 5 with a more avantgarde ensemble. This top looks great tucked or untucked and also looks nice with a pair of jeans and heels. Here it looks so polished  back to J Cooper's fabulous animal print pencil skirt with a length that falls just below the knee. This skirt also has much versatility. You can top it with a black turtleneck, crisp white button-up or cropped jacket for alternate ways to wear it.  We cinched the waist with Hyde's wide weave black belt and added a simple gold necklace to complete this outfit. Outfit of the Day November 17, 2009

Librarian Chic...no we did not make that up. What a cool look for a warm ensemble this fall. The focus is clearly Virginia Taylor's crisp white long sleeve button up with exaggerated bow tie. We love the drama a statement piece like this one creates. We then added a couple of wardrobe basics to complete the outfit. You first saw Joy Joy's polka dotted blazer with scallop hem on September 15 when we paired it back to jeans and a tee. What a difference this is! Today, we added Notice's versatile charcoal gray pleated skirt to round out this studious ensemble. For more information on this and other "Outfit of the Day" postings contact us via FrenchCuffCo.com

Outfit of the Day November 16, 2009

We showed you Notice's black and silver cheetah print skirt on October 6 & 9. Here it is one more time mixed with two classic pieces by Virginia Taylor. A very practical white shell with sweet pleating around the neckline and a hot pink cable knit cardi keep this ensemble simple and wearable. Belting it with Hyde's black canvas stretch belt gives it another dimension and the multi layered mixed metal statement necklace adds a little edge. However, you could keep the look classic by just adding pearls. If you would like more information on this or other postings contact us via FrenchCuffCo.com.

Outfit of the Day November 13, 2009

We showed you this sexy cami on November 6 in a more casual way with a flannel topper and jeans. Here we have styled a dressier ensemble anchored by Hale Bob's bronze shimmering cami. Its plunging neckline creates a perfect palette for your multi layered statement necklace (we added two!) and the flirty ruffles keep the tone soft. Paired back to Peace of Cloth's black pencil skirt and Press' cream cropped cardi gives this ensemble sophistication and versatility. We are big on belts so once again we cinched the waist with Hyde's must-have black stretch canvas belt. Outfit of the Day November 12, 2009

We suggest another cleaver way to wear your cocktail dresses. We created a silver story with Fumblin' Foe's beautiful silver strapless cocktail dress layered under Joy Joy's shimmering silver beaded cardi with ruffle detail. We then added our rugged silver Elsie M. wide belt to direct the feel of this ensemble to a less dressy look. Continue adding more casual elements by pairing this outfit with a tall boot or ballet flat to transform this cocktail dress into a more casual yet harmonious assemblage. Don't forget your statement necklace!! For more information about this or other "Outfit of the Day" postings contact us at FrenchCuffCo.com.

Outfit of the Day November 11, 2009

What a fun and unexpected holiday happy hour ensemble. Instead of a typical red centerpiece, we are styling a very festive and "holiday-ish" burgundy sequin tank by Kay Celine with a couple of everyday pieces that most of us already have in our closets. Liquids charcoal gray trouser works well with BB Dakota's short black trench coat to help tone down our sequin and beaded tank. So as not to lose the waist, we added HYDE's gray python-printed skinny belt. A pearl and silver charm statement necklace rounds out this fabulous outfit with an upbeat flair. For more information on this and other "Outfit of the Day" postings please contact us via FrenchCuffCo.com

Outfit of the Day November 10, 2009

Fresh! Here is a great way to keep your winter white trousers in the rotation. Black and white is always classic. And you can easily bring in a pop of color with your accessories or cardigan. Here we have taken our closet staple winter white trousers by Peace of Cloth and added Joy Joy's very interesting ribbon detail black and white blouse, which works for both a great office top and a fun Friday night top when paired back to your favorite denim. Of course, we love a pink and black contrast so we popped in this hot pink 3/4 sleeve cardigan by Press for an extra layer of warmth and color. A simple drop necklace completes this classic ensemble. Outfit of the Day November 9, 2009

Simply beautiful! This gorgeous Asian inspired brocade dress by Virginia Taylor is beaded around the neck, sleeves and all the way down the back for an unexpected embellishment. Plaid is big this season. Add the studded details on the collar, pockets and cuffs like this fabulous flannel top by Drew and you are "on trend". For a  more feminine appeal we added under-layer flair with Hale Bob's ruffle cami with its sexy plunging neckline and bronze shimmer. Then we cinched the waist with HYDE's stretch canvas belt to ensure your waistline does not disappear in all the print and ruffles. Pairing these tops back to David Kahn's gray denim trouser jean brings the ensemble to a simple yet brilliant finish.

Outfit of the Day November 5, 2009

Unexpected! Yes, we recognize this is a surprising combination, but it just works. As you know, we love mixing prints and patterns. Everything about this ensemble screams creative type. We love how the swirls in Virginia Taylor's printed skirt harmonizes with the ruffle texture of Drew's sleeveless black top. Those two pieces together make a great outfit that is flattering on just about everyone. Only the most fashion forward would add Joy Joy's blue, black & silver plaid trench to this already fabulous pairing, creating a truly avantgarde look. Keep the accessories simple when pulling together an outfit like this one. All items are available at French Cuff Boutique and several are now available at FrenchCuffCo.com. As you know, purple is the "it" color this season. So wear it well in Hale Bob's violet and blue burnout top. This blouse is so great back to jeans and leggings but we decided to pair it with Peace of Cloth's classic black pencil skirt and HYDE's stretch canvas belt. Throw on your tall black boots and statement necklace for a unique day look that will set you apart. All items are available at French Cuff Boutique and several are available at FrenchCuffCo.com.  We offer sizes 0-12 and XS-XL in limited quantities.

Outfit of the Day November 3, 2009

Here we go again bringing those evening pieces to our daytime outfits. We took an evening skirt by Virginia Taylor with its dressy fabric and sequin trim and mixed it with a great daytime top by Boho Chic, creating an ensemble that will take you from day to night easily. The animal print top with its drape-front neckline and eye-catching animal print is great back to just about any bottom from jeans to pencil skirts. The sequin trimmed skirt is so interesting worn with something more casual for day for a unique style and flair. Of course we couldn't help but add a statement necklace to finish the look.    All items are available at French Cuff Boutique and some at FrenchCuffCo.com. We offer sizes 0-12 and XS-XL in limited quantities.

Outfit of the Day November 2, 2009

We love to take cocktail pieces and bring them into day ensembles, as we did here with Virginia Taylor's fabulous statement coat. As pretty as a present you will be any time you wear this one. We dressed it down by pairing it with one of our favorite Virginia Taylor long sleeve tee's. This crown print tee is oooh so cute! Of course we love the black and pink contrast but the random red embroidered crowns (not visible in pic) just give this piece an extra special touch.  Add your jeans and boots or ballet flats and you are ready to meet your girlfriends out for a fun lunch!

All items are available at French Cuff Boutique and most items are available at FrenchCuffCo.com. We offer sizes 0-12 and XS-XL in limited quantities.

Outfit of the Day October 30, 2009

We have tamed this fabulous animal print dress by Kay Unger with an ultra chic tuxedo inspired jacket by Phoebe Couture. The dress is so perfect on its own with its ruffle front neckline and body skimming silhouette. The pink, red and black color palette interplay perfectly with this graduating cheetah print. By adding the jacket with its petal shaped tail, gold button detail and satin lapel we have created unique style in this fashion savvy ensemble.

All items are currently available at French Cuff Boutique and some items are available at FrenchCuffCo.com. We offer sizes 0-12 and XS-XL in limited quantities.

Outfit of the Day October 29, 2009

Comfortable and casual, Haven's knit jersey dress is an easy throw-on piece that looks great back to leggings and ballet flats or tights and boots. Pulling from the colorful print on the skirt, we popped a bright green Last Tango tank under-layer to add more color to this mostly chocolate brown palette. An orange or yellow tank or bandeau top would be great accents too! We added a great chunky necklace that mixes colors of bronze, browns and blues to answer to the statement necklace trend this season.

Items are now available at French Cuff Boutique and soon at FrenchCuffCo.com. We offer sizes 0-12 and XS-XL in limited quantities.

Outfit of the Day October 28, 2009

Right now our new favorite tee is this deep purple long sleeve Lilla P version with its abstract ruffle running down the front, asymmetric neckline, and ultra soft fabric.  It looks great back to jeans or even your favorite skirts. We paired it with Peace of Cloth's winter white trouser and DEPT's army green military inspired jacket for unique style and an outfit that can take you to the office or endless other day time occasions. We added a sweet heart-shaped silver drop necklace to soften the look. Chandelier earrings would be a great alternate.

Items are available at French Cuff Boutique and soon available at FrenchCuffCo.com. We offer sizes XS-Xl and 0-12 in limited quantities.

Outfit of the Day October 27, 2009

Hale Bob's prints and color pallets are always eye catching. This warm color way on silk is rich and beautiful. The metallic embellished neckline adds just the right amount of ornamentation to make this dress a great day to night piece. Its length makes it long enough to wear as a dress and short enough to also wear as a tunic over leggings or skinny jeans. We love the way this one drapes over the body giving great shape as well as a little wiggle room. We added bronze beads to continue the focus at the neckline.

These items are available at French Cuff Boutique and soon on FrenchCuffCo.com. We offer sizes 0-12 and XS-XL in limited quantities.

Outfit of the Day October 26, 2009

Since the boyfriend cardi is so important this season we thought we would show you yet another way to sport Press's black boyfriend cardigan. You saw it on October 22 over a sexy Nicole Miller dress. Today, it's all dressed up layered over Fumblin' Foe's high drama ivory ruffle top. Paired with Liquid's black trousers and a basic pump, you can definitely wear this ensemble to the office. So your waist does not get lost in all those ruffles and layers we cinched it with Hyde's black patent leather stretch waist belt with gold detail. Remove the cardi and add a satin skirt to be ready for your next cocktail party. We love the versatility of all four pieces.

Items are now available at French Cuff Boutique and soon available at FrenchCuffCo.com. We offer sizes XS-XL and 0-12 in limited quantities.

Outfit of the Day October 23, 2009

Heads will be turning in this eye catching electric blue dress by Liquid. It's the perfect party dress with a sexy v-neckline adorned with soft flowy ruffles.  It is dressier on its own; however, if you need a sleeve just add a layer. We added Joy Joy's sparkle cardi for a touch of glitz and glimmer. Accessorizing with a black patent HYDE belt pulls it together and you can wear a gold necklace like this multi-layered chain link we have shown. Slide on your black patent leather pumps and be the talk of the party.

Items are currently available at French Cuff Boutqiue and soon at FrenchCuffCo.com. We offer sizes 0-12 and XS-XL in limited quantities.
