Outfit of the Day November 30, 2009

We love cleaver reversible pieces like this printed dress by Nally & Millie. One side has a great horizontal print as shown here and the other side is a more abstract print. Either print is fabulous. Additionally, you can wear the neckline lower as shown here or turn the dress backwards and wear it with a higher neckline. Wear it now with an under layer and then in the summer without as a tank dress. Oh so versatile! We added a crisp black Em Quinn button-down shirt and cinched the waist with Hyde's stretch canvas belt to give this look more structure. Add your black boots and you are good to go. Trending strong this season is the boyfriend  blazer, which looks great back to jeans and a tee or a pencil skirt. We loved combining it with this Chanel inspired dress by Notice. With both menswear and feminine elements this ensemble is easy to wear and quite versatile. You could wear this combo to the office or shed the jacket, pile on the pearls and you are ready for a night out on the town. Mixing things up a bit with two great prints layered together for yet another avantgarde ensemble. Joy Joy's casual turquoise, white & black printed strapless dress is so cute on its on or simply topped with a basic black cardi. And Notice's black & white swing coat looks chic back to black skinny jeans or peg leg trousers. Today we took these two fabulous stand alone pieces and combined them for a look that is more fashion forward. We then cinched the waist with Hydes's black wide weaved belt. Now add your black suede boots and simple accessories and you are ready to make a statement at your next party. Faux fur fabulous! What a great way to spice up your closet staples. Our classic long sleeve black turtleneck by Press and Notice's practical charcoal gray pleated skirt are great closet basics that look perfect together. Stopping there leaves you with a pulled-together ensemble that could take you almost anywhere. We took things up several notches by adding Notice's fabulous faux fur vest with wide ribbon self belt. We then added a chunky charm necklace to finish this look. For more information on this and other "Outfit of the Day" postings contact us via FrenchCuffCo.com.

Cool colors for a warm ensemble. This very special long sleeve cardigan by Joy Joy is sweet and preppy all in one.  The adorable flower accents, exaggerated stitching detail paired with the jeweled buttons adds so much character to this sweater. It can be worn with or without an under layer and looks great back to pencil skirts, trousers or jeans. We paired it with David Kahn's Heidi style dark denim skinny jeans for a casual look. Accessorizing with this turquoise color-blocked scarf added fun and another layer of warmth. Wearing two belts at once can be very stylish, as we have shown here with Elsie M's black leather studded skinny belts. Add your boots or ballet flats and you are ready for your day of holiday shopping. For more information on this or other "Outfit of the Day" postings, contact us via FrenchCuffCo.com.

Outfit of the Day November 20, 2009

Pictured is yet another way to keep your winter white trousers in circulation. We coordinated our Peace of Cloth pair back to a long sleeve black turtleneck by Press. You could stop there for a classic look. To add warmth and a stylish layer we topped this outfit with Press' gray printed sweater sporting its shawl collar and banded waist. Aspen chic. To prevent your waist from getting lost in all those layers cinch it, as we did with Hyde's stretch canvas belt. What an easy way to wear the neon trend. This fun printed tunic by DEPT is a nice blend of neon pink and orange toned down by a floral print in charcoal gray. To continue bringing down the brightness a few notches we topped it with Press' gray cardi with silk ruffle detail. Add your dark skinny jeans or leggings, a pair of tall boots or a ballet flats and you have a very wearable neon ensemble. We love this ruffle-front neckline top by Drew that we showed you on November 5 with a more avantgarde ensemble. This top looks great tucked or untucked and also looks nice with a pair of jeans and heels. Here it looks so polished  back to J Cooper's fabulous animal print pencil skirt with a length that falls just below the knee. This skirt also has much versatility. You can top it with a black turtleneck, crisp white button-up or cropped jacket for alternate ways to wear it.  We cinched the waist with Hyde's wide weave black belt and added a simple gold necklace to complete this outfit. Librarian Chic...no we did not make that up. What a cool look for a warm ensemble this fall. The focus is clearly Virginia Taylor's crisp white long sleeve button up with exaggerated bow tie. We love the drama a statement piece like this one creates. We then added a couple of wardrobe basics to complete the outfit. You first saw Joy Joy's polka dotted blazer with scallop hem on September 15 when we paired it back to jeans and a tee. What a difference this is! Today, we added Notice's versatile charcoal gray pleated skirt to round out this studious ensemble. Outfit of the Day November 16, 2009

We showed you Notice's black and silver cheetah print skirt on October 6 & 9. Here it is one more time mixed with two classic pieces by Virginia Taylor. A very practical white shell with sweet pleating around the neckline and a hot pink cable knit cardi keep this ensemble simple and wearable. Belting it with Hyde's black canvas stretch belt gives it another dimension and the multi layered mixed metal statement necklace adds a little edge. However, you could keep the look classic by just adding pearls. If you would like more information on this or other postings contact us via FrenchCuffCo.com.

Outfit of the Day November 13, 2009

We showed you this sexy cami on November 6 in a more casual way with a flannel topper and jeans. Here we have styled a dressier ensemble anchored by Hale Bob's bronze shimmering cami. Its plunging neckline creates a perfect palette for your multi layered statement necklace (we added two!) and the flirty ruffles keep the tone soft. Paired back to Peace of Cloth's black pencil skirt and Press' cream cropped cardi gives this ensemble sophistication and versatility. We are big on belts so once again we cinched the waist with Hyde's must-have black stretch canvas belt. We suggest another cleaver way to wear your cocktail dresses. We created a silver story with Fumblin' Foe's beautiful silver strapless cocktail dress layered under Joy Joy's shimmering silver beaded cardi with ruffle detail. We then added our rugged silver Elsie M. wide belt to direct the feel of this ensemble to a less dressy look. Continue adding more casual elements by pairing this outfit with a tall boot or ballet flat to transform this cocktail dress into a more casual yet harmonious assemblage. Don't forget your statement necklace!! For more information about this or other "Outfit of the Day" postings contact us at FrenchCuffCo.com.

What a fun and unexpected holiday happy hour ensemble. Instead of a typical red centerpiece, we are styling a very festive and "holiday-ish" burgundy sequin tank by Kay Celine with a couple of everyday pieces that most of us already have in our closets. Liquids charcoal gray trouser works well with BB Dakota's short black trench coat to help tone down our sequin and beaded tank. So as not to lose the waist, we added HYDE's gray python-printed skinny belt. A pearl and silver charm statement necklace rounds out this fabulous outfit with an upbeat flair. Outfit of the Day November 10, 2009

Fresh! Here is a great way to keep your winter white trousers in the rotation. Black and white is always classic. And you can easily bring in a pop of color with your accessories or cardigan. Here we have taken our closet staple winter white trousers by Peace of Cloth and added Joy Joy's very interesting ribbon detail black and white blouse, which works for both a great office top and a fun Friday night top when paired back to your favorite denim. Of course, we love a pink and black contrast so we popped in this hot pink 3/4 sleeve cardigan by Press for an extra layer of warmth and color. A simple drop necklace completes this classic ensemble. Simply beautiful! This gorgeous Asian inspired brocade dress by Virginia Taylor is beaded around the neck, sleeves and all the way down the back for an unexpected embellishment. No jewelry needed and its silhouette looks great on every body. This fabulous find is not just for your upcoming holiday parties. Wear it to the opera, a formal wedding or a special dinner. We love love love this piece. For more information about this or other "Outfit of the Day" postings contact us via FrenchCuffCo.com.

Outfit of the Day November 6, 2009

Plaid is big this season. Add the studded details on the collar, pockets and cuffs like this fabulous flannel top by Drew and you are "on trend". For a  more feminine appeal we added under-layer flair with Hale Bob's ruffle cami with its sexy plunging neckline and bronze shimmer. Then we cinched the waist with HYDE's stretch canvas belt to ensure your waistline does not disappear in all the print and ruffles. Pairing these tops back to David Kahn's gray denim trouser jean brings the ensemble to a simple yet brilliant finish.

Outfit of the Day November 5, 2009

Unexpected! Yes, we recognize this is a surprising combination, but it just works. As you know, we love mixing prints and patterns. Everything about this ensemble screams creative type. We love how the swirls in Virginia Taylor's printed skirt harmonizes with the ruffle texture of Drew's sleeveless black top. Those two pieces together make a great outfit that is flattering on just about everyone. Only the most fashion forward would add Joy Joy's blue, black & silver plaid trench to this already fabulous pairing, creating a truly avantgarde look. Keep the accessories simple when pulling together an outfit like this one. All items are available at French Cuff Boutique and several are now available at FrenchCuffCo.com. We offer sizes 0-12 and XS-XL in limited quantities.

Outfit of the Day November 4, 2009

As you know, purple is the "it" color this season. So wear it well in Hale Bob's violet and blue burnout top. This blouse is so great back to jeans and leggings but we decided to pair it with Peace of Cloth's classic black pencil skirt and HYDE's stretch canvas belt. Throw on your tall black boots and statement necklace for a unique day look that will set you apart. All items are available at French Cuff Boutique and several are available at FrenchCuffCo.com.  We offer sizes 0-12 and XS-XL in limited quantities.

Outfit of the Day November 3, 2009

Here we go again bringing those evening pieces to our daytime outfits. We took an evening skirt by Virginia Taylor with its dressy fabric and sequin trim and mixed it with a great daytime top by Boho Chic, creating an ensemble that will take you from day to night easily. The animal print top with its drape-front neckline and eye-catching animal print is great back to just about any bottom from jeans to pencil skirts. The sequin trimmed skirt is so interesting worn with something more casual for day for a unique style and flair. Of course we couldn't help but add a statement necklace to finish the look.    All items are available at French Cuff Boutique and some at FrenchCuffCo.com. We offer sizes 0-12 and XS-XL in limited quantities.

Outfit of the Day November 2, 2009

We love to take cocktail pieces and bring them into day ensembles, as we did here with Virginia Taylor's fabulous statement coat. As pretty as a present you will be any time you wear this one. We dressed it down by pairing it with one of our favorite Virginia Taylor long sleeve tee's. This crown print tee is oooh so cute! Of course we love the black and pink contrast but the random red embroidered crowns (not visible in pic) just give this piece an extra special touch.  Add your jeans and boots or ballet flats and you are ready to meet your girlfriends out for a fun lunch!

All items are available at French Cuff Boutique and most items are available at FrenchCuffCo.com. We offer sizes 0-12 and XS-XL in limited quantities.
